Why DON’T landlords accept compliments and props for rent!

But no, point taken Shannon. It is definitely tough trying to make your way as an artist. I definitely wish I could pay my own way on my creativity, but I obviously haven’t gotten there yet.

I know it sucks, but sometimes I wonder if it’s not just best to work a “9–5” or service job and do the creative stuff on the side with the hope that it works out in the long run. Not ideal, but at least there’s less fear of being unable to pay the rent.

I realize I’m not saying anything original or life-changing here. It’s just the way I make ends meet.
