Agh, what a nightmare! I’ve had a similar cyber squatter experience, except they bought a domain name with the name of my YouTube channel and then asked me if I wanted it to buy it for $3,000 USD because they were 'no longer using it' (they registered it the day before they emailed me.)

On the plus side, your new domain is really unique now. Far more memorable too! That’ll rock on a business card.
