Heather Nann I must disagree, it did not seem, to me,as though the focus of this article was to “ bid for sympathy or some other misguided attempt at “oh, I’m not racist because I like Black people.” Conversely I believe that it was a writer thinking out loud and shouting to the rooftops for understanding of her own culture and to FINALLY come to terms with it. Sometimes it takes time. And no I do not believe that Felicia is attempting to exploit the disadvantages and/or privilege of one race or another for the benefit of “clicks.” And that’s just my opinion. She could be thinking completely different from those terms. Just my thoughts.
