For the very first interview of The Real Estate Revolution, there was absolutely zero question in my mind about who I wanted to feature.

I knew it had to be someone with charisma, a sense of humor, and above all else, someone that was not afraid to be brutally honest.

After all, The Real Estate Revolution is all about empowering real estate professionals to return to their most honest self in the pursuit of success.

Yes, the answer could not have been more obvious to me. It had to be Jeramy Poole.

Jeramy Poole

Idealistic, strategic, visionary, authentic, original…and a horrible speller, Jeramy embraces his weaknesses as well as he leverages his strengths. The creative genius behind Real Estate Social, his unyielding pursuit to connect people drives the personality and culture of the company. Far more a foodie than a sports fan, Jeramy has been launching and leading companies for much of the past 15 years.

Being that this was my first interview ever (GULP) I’m going to be straight with you and say I was pretty damn nervous.

I couldn’t help but think: What if I suck?

What if I can’t provide listeners with enough value?

What if, what if, what if…

But in the interest of practicing what I preach I forged ahead, said ‘fuck it! Let’s have some fun” and dove into the interview headfirst.

Guess what?

I think we actually managed to provide some real gems (thanks to Jeramy).

Here are the highlights of Episode 3 of The Real Estate Revolution in case you missed it.

The Interview With Game Changer Jeramy Poole

Question: Were you scared to enter the real estate industry in 2009 during one of the lowest and darkest moments in the history of the United States real estate market?

“I think the benefit of being so green in the market at that time is that I was too naive to how bad it truly was, while the more seasoned players in the mortgage industry were sweating and crying about how bad things had become.”

“So much of life has to do with your perspective. If you have a brain, arms, and legs, there is nothing that you can’t accomplish.”

Question: As you look out onto the horizon of real estate, what fears do you have for real estate professionals in the current and future environment of the industry?

“There are a lot of people right now that are in search of a sense of direction with a false sense of what it is to be successful; not only in life but in business. A lot of people on the outside of the industry see the clothes, money, and cars and jump in blindly assuming it will be easy. I know far more people in the industry that are striving to look successful to their peers, but are fooling themselves and failing.”

“There are more than 25,000 agents in our market alone and most of them will never sell a single home. They take the classes, they spend the money on marketing and things like Zillow but ultimately they just don’t have what it takes as an entrepreneur to make it happen.”

Real estate professionals are placed into uncomfortable situations on a fairly frequent basis. Tell us about how you handle uncomfortable or sticky situations as a real estate professional.

“I do stuff that makes me uncomfortable all the time which is how my career even began. All I knew is that I wanted to do something big with my life so that one day I could look back at myself and actually be impressed by what I had accomplished. I knew that was going to mean making myself uncomfortable. I was spending a lot of time thinking about big things but not doing them because I was afraid to. That is why I continue to push myself to do things that make me uncomfortable and place a lot of pressure on me. I don’t just want to see if I can do it; I want to see if I can crush it.”

What is your vision of the future of the real estate industry and how would you like to impact change upon that future?

“The biggest change that I see coming, and what I am most excited about, is greater transparency. I am really looking forward to the evolution of how much information is available to everyone. This is a truly exciting time in real estate and I am thrilled for those people just entering real estate because I think now, more than ever, it is possible to become a success.”

More About Real Estate Social & The Moment

Real Estate Social started as a feeling that became a belief that blossomed into a vision. From a simple concept of connecting people around real estate, co-founder Jeramy Poole’s vision has exploded into…connecting people around real estate.

Late winter of 2017 saw the launch of the talk show style interview series, ‘The Moment’. Arguably it’s most compelling achievement to date, Real Estate Social’s ‘The Moment’ interviews have garnered tens of thousands of views on social media in less than three months.

The most successful people and incredible stories of failure and redemption come to life on ‘The Moment’. “These larger than life personalities humble themselves and instantly become knowable and human on our show”, says Jeramy. “The show has almost taken on a life of its own. I’m really just hanging on to the rocket ship at this point. What I do know is that without all the amazing and talented people helping us pull off our events, coaching and shows, we wouldn’t be here today”.
