The cooking method is quite simple and the ingredients necessary can be easily bought from the nearby store. 1 cup of dried rice, 2 cups of water, and 1tbsp cooking oil are the ingredients required to prepare this dish. Add the oil to a pan and place it over medium flame. After a minute, add the rice to the pan and stir well in the oil. Keep stirring for a couple of minutes, until the color of the rice changes slightly. You should now add the water and stir it well in order to mix the rice thoroughly. Keep stirring at frequent intervals until the water begins to boil. Now lower the flame on the burner and place a lid on the pan to cover it completely. You should allow it to simmer for about 20 minutes. Do not wait any longer. Turn off the flame and keep the pan aside. Without removing the lid, allow the rice to steam for at least 30 minutes. You can now serve the delicacy along with chicken and meat based dishes. It also goes well with the Chinese tofu dishes and mushroom based delicacies.
