Downtown [Gainesville], big city, bright lights

My wife and I came across a Facebook event put on by The Spins Gainesville and sponsored by Yelp. We were greeted by Dave and Erica, the owners of the Spins. They are a perfect team. While Dave provided the history and engineering of the party bike, Erica discussed the party bikes route for the evening and the establishments that we would be hitting up. The group of fifteen went on a practice run around the block before stopping at Tall Paul’s (Alligator Brewing), our first of three stops.

The owner of Tall Paul’s has been a big supporter of the Spins, helping them when they first started out. Tall Paul’s is an amazing nano brewery and features beers brewed in house as well as select beers from local breweries.

Second stop on the tour was First Magnitude Brewing Company. Finally tried the Drift English Mild, a beer I had been avoiding as I favor Porters. The atmosphere here is, simply put, spectacular. Always a food truck outside to satiate your culinary desires. Games galore litter the establishment: giant Jenga, corn hole, giant Checkers/Chess/Scrabble. The beer garden never disappoints with ample picnic table seating and occasional live musical acts.

Third stop was OAK (Original American Kitchen). If you’re looking for a signature whiskey drink and unique food choices using locally sourced ingredients, this is the place for you.
