B4wNepal.com update from November 2016

My local partner tending to the kitchen.

My focus for 2016 - 2017 is income generation, sustainability. Breaking even and with time, grow independently, reinvest income and not need donations. We are close to breaking even with expenses to run the women’s shelter.

The big news from the jungle is that we are finally opening a simple (Ultra low cost) cafe on my small village land. In the past couple months we have planned, built, and now stocked the bamboo cafe for less than a couple hundred dollars thanks to a skilled local partner known as “Hati Man” (elephant master).

I’m in Chitwan making major progress on important objectives and learning about building and farming for our 3 properties in Nepal. Most importantly to me, I’m checking on the Chitwan girls I know who are ready to go back to school and stay at the city shelter. Recently we found an ideal 30 year old single woman+daughter in the shelter. welcoming these new residents is designed to be minimal cost and therefore perfectly feasible to find sponsors until we can break even as a collective/ cooperative/community.

I’ve been thinking about patience and the rate of urban or rural business and development. Remote and countryside work takes time. My big vision for Nepal is taking many years but it isn’t a problem. Delays are unavoidable in a Least Developed Country. I’m totally committed so it can take any amount of time. The project is mature enough to feel confident about where everything is going in the near future. I really look forward to sharing more information and media about what is going on with this long term project.

Buying supplies for about $50. This was enough to keep the business sustainable

I have seen that all friends who donate feel really happy from seeing the high impact per dollar. I demonstrate fast results any size individual and corporate sponsors.

There are a lot of ways to support the mission: “Building safe spaces for women and girls to live, work, and learn together”. We are working in the product line so for now the best way to support is a tax deductible donation. Directly to my 501c3 fiscal sponsor. The easiest and best way for that is with this website:

Walking to the project site with my team

You can make a recurring donation which helps so much. And the donation receipt for the tax deduction is automatically sent.

Thanks for reading. I’ll be posting more updates soon. Keep following.
