Being a Freelancer is Fun. You get to work from anywhere in this world where you get good internet connectivity and an electricity facility. Oh! that Boss feeling is something no one can deny.

As a freelancer, you might not have the traditional 9–5 workday, and if you are a part-time freelancer, you would be uber-busy balancing a lot of stuff together, but that doesn’t mean you cannot or shouldn’t take care of your health.

Lots of flexibility brings too much laziness to your cup of coffee. Health is supposed to be the only priority but seldom do we make it one.

“The work of a freelancer is never done.”
Coach Ludiah

Now, the question is, ‘how will you balance your health and work?’

As a freelancer, letting your health fall by the wayside and letting your healthy habits slide can be easy. With no set schedule and often working from home, it can be hard to find the motivation to eat healthily and exercise regularly. However, maintaining a healthy lifestyle is crucial for your physical and mental well-being.

No, I am not going to give you an essay about good sleep, exercising, eating healthily, etc. However, these are very important in keeping a healthy life.

Instead, focus on taking breaks.

When you work from home, it can be easy to forget to take breaks. But sitting in front of a computer all day is unhealthy. Though we are aware of this, we cannot help it. Game of Money, after all. Make sure to get up and move around for some time. Take a walk, do some stretches, or step away from your desk for a few minutes. Taking regular breaks is important for your physical and mental health. You’ll feel more energized and productive if you take the time to care for yourself.

Love dancing? Please do. Don’t know how to dance? Learn from a kid around.

Sports activities are a great way to stay active and healthy. They can also be a lot of fun. There are many different kinds of sports activities to choose from. My new interest is in Kickboxing. You can find ones that fit your interests and skill level. Taking part in sports activities can help you meet new people and make new friends.

Running is a great way to combat stress. Running away from your problems has meaning after all. When you run, you tend to forget about your daily struggles, and past trauma, even though, for some time and develop a clear thought process.

Picking your hustle carefully helps save time and reduces work overload. Too many things on your plate can make you exhausted and sometimes distract you from something you are good at. Juggling between too many projects can put a toll on your mind and body.

Keep an eye on the red flags. (Red flags are invisible. haha)

Since freelancing allows you to be your boss and refuse any clients where you are unsatisfied, feel free to take that advantage. Don’t forget to sign a contract with your client to avoid unnecessary payment drama lastly.

Lastly, if you have never tried meditating, it’s high time you start that. The only way you can get peace with your inner self.

As a freelancer, you can set your hours and work from anywhere in this world. However, this lifestyle can also lead to unhealthy habits if you’re not careful. Along with developing healthy habits, try these simple tips and enjoy the freedom of being your boss.

Let me know if you are trying these tricks or have already tried these, if it works or if you have modified them in your style.

P.S.- I always followed these tips and never really had issues till this winter. This winter and freelancing made me gain 5 kilos with backache and muscle cramps. Time to highlight those unbothered tips.

Thanks for reading.
