Eric Burdier, co-founder & managing partner, Axeleo, french accelerator for B2B tech startups
You have decided to support for Big Booster. What’s your main motivation to join this brand new international startups acceleration program?
We have founded Axeleo in november 2013 in Lyon to develop the 1st private accelerator dedicated to B2B digital startups post seed / pre-A-Series. Concretely, we deliver an 18 month acceleration program designed to help our startups to build growth & revenue-generating businesses. Now we are backed by 40 successful entrepreneurs, the French Tech Acceleration Fund and we support 13 startups.
Shaping startups to scale-up globally and creating business interactions with corporates in an open-innovation mindset through international networks are our day-to-day activities.
Like the competition is global between startups, corporates or territories, strengthen the Lyon startup ecosystem and its cooperation with the Boston tech scene is a crucial asset to sustain & increase business on both sides of the Atlantic.
In what way Big Booster appears to be different from other acceleration programs?
Big Booster provide a non-profit approach focus on maximazing interactions between alumnis and decision makers and their networks (experts, mentors, investors, entrepreneurs, etc) on health, cleantech & digital markets.
It’s not only some days spended in pitching but a real way to access quickly to a global pool of financing and corporates in a caring way.
This international connection and the strong implication of accelerators, incubators and consulting firms like MassChallenge in Boston or Cap Gemini, Pulsalys and Axeleo in Lyon are real assets to boost development opportunities accros the world.
Our common ambition for Big Booster is to become the most important european accelerator for early-stage startup companies with an international goal.
