Can Green Fundraisers Compete?

With all the talk about how important it is to take care of the environment, embarking on a green fundraiser sure sounds noble on paper. But are they really effective compared to more traditional fundraising programs? Doing the right thing for our planet doesn’t necessarily translate into maximizing profits.

There are certainly other factors to consider, like school districts, and even communities at large encouraging alternatives to popular, yet unhealthy fundraising programs like candy bars and cookie dough.

Selling recyclable bags for example, can be a worthwhile endeavor as it also teaches students to be aware of preserving our valuable resources.
