I met Wayne Griffiths in 1990 after having unsuccessfully trying FORESKIN restoration. Several years earlier i met a guy in a men’s gathering in San Francisco who was UNCUT. We got to talking and he told me that he’d heard of a doctor in San Antonio Texas that had devised a surgical procedure to restore mens FORESKINS. Since both of us lived in San Francisco, he suggested I check this out at the medical library at UCSF, a large medical school. I was somewhat embarrassed asking the librarian about any articles on theis procedure but she, yes it was a woman, guided me to the “Index Medicus” there I was able to find an article written by a Dr. Donald Greer at the University of Texas in San Antonio. Ironically at the same time, there was a story on the Phil Donahue show about the subject and one of the guests was a Richard Steiner. Richard Steiner had gone through the surgery and as I recall him saying there was no legitimate reason for his circumcision as he was born to German parents and he blamed this for his divorce. Anyway I got more intrigued. Long story short, i contacted Dr. Greer and found out the costs were prohibitive, so i gave up on this idea. Fast forward a couple of years to 1990. I recall seeing an ad in the local gay newspaper the Bay Area Reporter for for starting up group of men interested in FORESKIN restoration, I immediately called and to my surprise, the guy who ran the ad was a member of my gym. This first meeting was the start of my journey as I saw I wasn’t the only one interested in this. Over time, the meetings morphed into larger gatherings that required a larger meeting place. luckily there was a meeting room at the local Metropolitan Community Church. There was a lot of information exchanged including making home made devices using various materials. Unfortunately the meetings waned, men seemed to lose interest after a while and the rental cost of the meeting room wasn’t feasible, so the meetings disbanded and Wayne, living in Concord decided it was time to call it quits. Over the years I’ve been stretching my FORESKIN, I’ve used many devices, the first being the PUD, aka the Penile Uncircumcising Device by American Bodycrafters. Luckily I had some FORESKIN but wanted complete coverage. The PUD is a weighted stainless steel device that looks like a bullet with a channel down the center for urination and one end has a deep cup to put the head of the penis and pull stretching skin over and tape into place with surgical tape. This device required making sure it was taped securely in place as if done improperly, you risked it coming undone, and possibly losing it down your pants leg, embarrassing at least. Over time i’ve used various devices and currently I’m using the DTR Restorer, a tension device and so far so good. The sensitivity is awesome! I have to be careful when showering, especially at the gym, as if i peel back my FORESKIN and the stream of water hits it, i can get an immediate hard on. I’ve noticed a couple of guys noticing my FORESKIN while I shower, after all it’s a gay gym. One nice thing i’ve noticed are more and more UNCUT guys. To summisz up. Awhile ago I’d been wearing my FORESKIN retainer during a day off from my DTR tension device. When i got to the gym, I’d forgotten to remove it before my workout. After working out, I stripped to shower and unbeknownst to me, I’d inadvertently left it on. There was a nice looking guy in the shower giving me the eye over. iI didn’t think much of it, as it’s a gay gym after all. I dried off and walked back to my locker to get dressed. As things would be, he had his locker in the same row as mine. He boldly asked “what’s that, looking at my cock. I’d forgotten to remove my SKIN retainer before my workout and my face turned beet red. I boldly said “it’s a FORESKIN retainer/stretcher. Then he said “you’re very lucky”, he then dropped his towel and showed me his circumcision scar. “The bastard doctor butchered you“ i said. I then removed the retainer and peeled back my FORESKIN and showed him how shiny pink-purple and sensitive my cock head was. I figured this was a perfect opportunity to do my part to help stop this unnecessary butchery called ‘circumcision. I’d explained my boyfriend is in the process of starting the journey and I’d done some research on methods that worked for me and gave him my phone number and said “call me’! I’ve got some websites you might want to check out that look feasible. there’s so much information out there I figured I’d save him some time and frustration. Hopefully I’ve helped some guy get back his God given birthright, his FORESKIN. A sad note. Wayne Griffiths passed away in March 2017. His contributions and information have been immeasurable!
