Nice spin but I’m pretty sure everyone knows this is a move to force more people to become paid members. Yes, people are upset about it but now even more so because you’ve insulted their intelligence by pretending it was a benefit.

Referring to it as a way to avoid ‘false signals’ when we really should be relying on likes only makes sense when one is a paid member. I’ve been a paid member in the past. I’m not now because you just aren’t attracting many new members, at least in my age range, and I expect you’ll get even less now that you’ve made the free account a lesser value. It’s not as bad as your parent company, Match.com, yet but you’ve taken another step in that direction.
