Habits(Stay High)!! Do someone really needs to be high if Heart Broken?

I just was wandering through the page of Tove Lo in Wiki and which surely states she consumed drugs earlier (don’t know now), the name of her music albums were a kind of drug related, like “Out of Mind” and “Not on Drugs”. If i was still in college, i would've gone for her albums, and would have listened to it side while smoking pot. I came to know the video in YouTube was not the original one and since it had some pornographic and violent content, it was removed and the censored version was uploaded. I had a glimpse of the video and, it could show the way how a woman can enjoy the fullest, apart from her pain which is pinching her heart every now and then.

I came across the artist, she’s Swedish, beautiful, talented, blah..blah..blah. She say’s she had picturized her life after her breakup with her Ex in the entire video. I would never expect this kind of behaviour from a girl, in doing all these activities. Girl’s are like bird’s they usually find new trees and i wonder this girls has loved her Ex more than anyone had did.

The lyrics have some porno content too, let’s blend them with the video, as i always do for my other music video reviews.

It look like the Artist have entirely shot the music video with a Go Pro( as i think). The video starts from the Artist (Character done by her) waking up from the bed, where you could see a group of girls sleeping. And she explains through the song that , she eats her dinner in her bathtub, as she is too high to find her own dining table , and she used to visit sex clubs and watching people doing the lap dancing and other sexual activities, and she says that she does all these to ease her mind and she has been around these places and seen all these. The music video explains nothing much , it has scenes of the Artist with a hangover and then joining with friend’s and crying inside the club toilets, kissing and munching stranger’s lips, doing lesbo, sleep over and sex with some stranger. Much explained as she was depressed as hell. She takes munchies in home and swallow as much as Twinkies she can and then vomit and go to sleep. She say’s she drinks all her money up and was too lonely. She think’s about her boyfriend who had left her and to keep him off her mind, she wish to drink and stay high. She accepts that she used to keep herself in Pot-smoke to forget him, but sometimes in that moment she misses him and then cries her heart out.

One word to Tove Lo irrespective of the music, i say these line’s are word’s of blunder, and it’s not what your broken life you have to show to the World, but the recovery. The ways of music had changed a lot, and you wish, the music of sadness, is not what you think, there are very less people who compares the lyrics and then listen to the songs. This Song, has inspired me in the way of the music and the tone it has, but failed me in case of the music video and lyrics. The World is still not a hippie island anymore where someone can still smoke pot and then sings their sadness and fornicate independently.

The character picks up new guys whom she names as daddies and clubs as playground. She hides her sadness and makes them feel happy sexually. And she pretends doing all of this, she want to have unlimited fun. She won’t like to go home alone and would like to have someone to feel her pain and she end’s her song stating se still misses her Ex.

The music was great, but the video was absurd. The comments in her youtube channel had many harsh comments, out of that ,i paste some here.

People agrees that her music video has some adult content, but the song was really a feast to the ears. Fuck the lyrics yeah!!

I would rate her songs a 4 out 5 and her music video a 3 out of 5, for the things through which she explains the consequence of her breakup to the new generation. Tove Lo should still come out with good songs , and god bless her to come up in full strength.
