Adventure may hurt you, but monotony will kill you!

Making a big life change is pretty scary. But know what is even scarier? Regret. A ship in harbor is safe but that is not what ships are built for. So it’s okay to be scared. Being scared means you are about to do something really, really brave. The comfort zone you are wearing…. Step it outside today. Life begins there.

It has been 5 months since I arrived here. A lot of things happened. First christmas, first party night, senior pictures, so much things going on.

December 23rd, was one of the best day ever in my life. That was the last day of school before christmas break. The day before, I gave a christmas present for my crush. I put it in his locker. And on December 23rd, he said thanks to me and hugged me! Also, in that day, I got a lot of sweet gifts in my locker from my friends. My friends and I also enjoyed White Elephant gift exchange. That was incredibly awesome.

December 25th was my first christmas. We went downstair as a family, and open the present from “Santa” . There was a huge pile of presents under the christmas tree. I got my host parents couple mugs, growing kit for my host sister who loves plants, an earbud for my other host sister who loves to listen to music, and walkie — talkie for my twins host brother. My host fam was so generous. Since I didn’t bring my computer with me, while I have to work a lot with computer to finish my school assignment here, they bought me a new one. Present seemed like a big deal during christmas, but that was not the main point. The main point is the togetherness.

February 4th, was the most unforgettable experience in my lifetime. That was the day when I went to my friends birthday party. The party started at 8.30 pm which is so late for me. I’m not a party kinda girl, at first I thought that I will not like the crowds, loud musics and stuffs, but in fact, I really love it! I feel like I could stay in the party forever! I was having a great time with my friends, we enjoyed a lot of food, we danced, took bunch of groups selfie. My first party night, probably the last, was so lit!

See what I meant? I probably will never have chance to celebrate christmas, or go to the night party, if I didn’t step out of my comfort zone. Well, it doesn’t guarantee that you will experience 100% fun thing during your adventure, but believe me it is worth it. So that’s my story, I can’t wait to hear yours! If you still in your comfort zone now, don’t wait any longer. Step out of it! Do not wait for the right time, because it doesn’t exist. It is your job to create that right time!

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
