What an idea!

Meet the better India

The first month of 2016 ended on a high-on-energy and enthusiastic note for me. I got a chance to attend and cover the #Teenovators2015 event over Facebook and Twitter courtesy BlogAdda and INKtalks at Manipal University.

Teenovators is a National level pan-India competition for students between 9th-12th grades. This program was initiated in 2011 by Manipal University, where I was, and has been successfully implemented across India since then. The 2015 batch saw 400+ schools participating out of which 9 cities were short-listed. 7 cities, 8 schools were in the final round and they had some amazing and innovative ideas to present.

The place had a great vibe and every team was nervously excited. The ideas were unique and easily implementable by everyone who wants to try them. The Guests of Honour list included names like, Dr. Kiran Datar, Former Advisor, National Knowledge Commission, Govt.Of India, Anand Gandhi, Filmmaker and screenwriter and Dr.Maulishree Agrahari, Academician and Visiting International Scholar.

Here are the 8 finalised teams:

Garden High International School — 2nd Place

The evening ended with Vasundhara Das and the DrumJam team lightening up the moods with the percussion instruments letting people play the tambourines and drums!
