Making A Mess

If you’re not making a mess, you’re doing it wrong. Love that is. Love is messy. Love is hard.

Love is worth it.

Love is the beginning and the end of relationships. Your mother loves you in the womb and your children love you into the next life. Love is authored by God and gifted to us. Love pierces the heart and soul and makes us wish we were dead.

Love is worth it.

Love, the best feeling I ever felt says country songs. Love shoots straight to the heart and anchors us together. Love is fleeting if not real. Those jagged edges cut deep. Love is tragic. Love gives splinters. Love has thorns. Love bleeds.

Love is worth it.

Love costs you labor. Love will catch you when you fall. Love is forgiving. Love is second chances and seeking opportunity to give them. Love is being scared to death and risking for someone anyway. Love is being all in, wide awake, seeing everything. The good, the bad, and the ugly.

Love is worth it.

If you’re not making a mess, you’re doing it wrong.

Love is worth it.
