One of the cornerstones of our individual realities and one of the biggest challenges in the digital world is that of identity. Barely a week goes by without someone pretending to be me — the last one was on Telegram and they were pretending to be “JasonBiitBenderBrink.” They even had the audacity to try to voice call a few of my friends on Discord, which added to the hilarity. While this one occasion turned out fine and Telegram shut the account down, there are sometimes very serious repercussions to these stolen identities. People get scammed, lose money, and suffer because someone pretends to be someone they are not.

This is why I am very happy to announce that on November 4th, Moiin Inc, the builders of Oasis City and the creators of the $OSC token, was awarded a new patent (#420010305761) for their proprietary means of identification in the VR world. This patent will allow Moiin to introduce a system within Oasis City for the management of VR identities. Users will be able to be scanned into the system and nobody will be able to copy or use their unique physical characteristics to create another avatar. While this has some implications in the world of gaming, in the virtual office world this becomes much more important as people need to be able to have confidence in the identity of the person with whom they are interacting.

In the world of celebrity, this is also very important. Movie stars, musician, e-sports superheros, and other groups of people have very important needs surrounding protecting their identity. In the world of entertainment, you ARE your image. Moiin will make it possible for people to own their own image it its entirety.

Ever since I first visited Moiin almost two years ago now, I have seen them grow by leaps and bounds. I have seen an idea for Oasis City grow from a poorly rendered initial idea to series of beautiful floating islands with waterfalls and shopping malls and an interactive lobby. I have seen Mr. Ok grow as he interfaces with bigger and bigger companies, all working to drive the development of the Oasis City ecosystem. I have seen the FBG gloves and suits go from being simple ideas on paper to watching them manipulate a VR environment. There has been much growth and I am delighted to see the progress.

I can’t wait to see where it goes in the future!
