Hello community,

We are very excited to announce the official details for the upcoming BitClave Token Sale! Thank you all for your patience and continued support. This project has garnered a lot of interest since the pre-sale event in July and want to provide a smooth and equitable process for our global community to take part in the main crowd sale event. With that in mind, we have adjusted the token sale structure to make sure there is a fair distribution of the tokens.

Community Update

BitClave’s community is growing every day. We have more than 15,000 people registered for our crowdsale already. We have a team of 5 people working around the clock answering your questions on our web chat (Intercom), as well as ever growing crowd of people in Slack, Telegram, BitcoinTalk, and WeChat. We have over 18,000 Twitter followers. Thank you!

BitClave ecosystem has been created with a fixed supply of 2B tokens. Half of those tokens, 1B CATs, will be offered in a two phase crowdfunding event. Phase 1 has a hard cap of $25M. We have received a lot of interest from the community. Both individual members from all around the globe and crypto fund investors have reached out since our pre-sale. Presently, we have sold/allocated $15M worth of tokens out of $25M to pre-sale participants and accredited investors.

To ensure broad access for the sake of distribution and a wide community of users, $10M has been reserved for our whitelisted followers! The individual cap for crowdfunding is $2,000 unless you are whitelisted. Participants on the whitelist will receive priority queuing during the crowdsale event and are also eligible for a higher individual discount.

Whitelist

The BitClave Token Sale will utilize a queue. After listening to concerns raised by our community and studying previous and ongoing ICOs, we believe that this scheme is in the best interest of our community. The goal of the priority queue is to maximize crowd size, maximize donation distributribution, and avoid issues related to network congestions (as we have seen in prior ICOs).

The queue order is as follows:

Whitelist members (guaranteed their reserved token allocation and discount)
Registered participants (priority is granted to users with the earliest registration time)
All those joining the crowdsale after it opens (ordered by earliest to latest sign up time)

Individual Caps

The maximum individual contribution during the crowdsale is capped at 2000 USD unless you are whitelisted. Individual contribution caps are in place to help protect the community from disproportionate influence from large whale interests. Once you are registered for the whitelist, you will see your status in dashboard.

Important: Please do not attempt to contribute more than the $2,000 individual cap until you have confirmed that you are on the whitelist. For non-whitelisted participants, any contribution above the $2,000 individual cap does not count towards the BitClave Token Sale and will be refunded. Refunds will be distributed when tokens are distributed, which could take up to one month.

Token Sale

Here is an overview of the procedure we will follow during the token sale:

On the day of the crowdsale (September 15) at 13:00:00 UTC (6 AM PDT), whitelisted contributors will receive an email reminding them to complete their contributions.
The whitelist guaranteed participation window is between 13:00:00 UTC and 16:00:00 UTC.
The whitelist guaranteed 15% discount window is between 13:00:00 UTC and 16:00:00 UTC
On the day of the crowdsale (September 15), non-whitelisted participants will begin their participation at 13:00:00 UTC (6 AM PDT), according to the order of our queue.

Important: Save the date. We cannot guarantee that a whitelisted contributor can participate in the sale outside of this time window.

CAT is priced in USD at $0.07 per token. We only accept ETH, BTC, and QTUM. We will update the ETH-to-USD and BTC-to-USD exchange rates based on the price of ETH and BTC every 10 min. Read the section below on how to participate in the token sale for step-by-step instructions for participating with both BTC and ETH.

Step 1: How do I sign up?

The registration process is as follows:

New participants must sign up for an individualized dashboard at our official fundraiser page: https://fundraiser.bitclave.com/signup
During the signup, the participant will be asked to register for the event and specify the size of their contribution.This will allow us to allocate a fair number of tokens for each participant.

Important: Register as soon as possible if you plan to participate in the token sale!

Step 2: How do I get on the whitelist?

The whitelist process is as follows:

Registered participant will login to their individualized dashboard at our official fundraiser page: https://www.bitclave.com/en/wallet/. The whitelist will be available to registered members until September 14th but not guaranteed.
Participant will be asked to confirm their planned contribution amount. Again, this will allow us to allocate a fair number of tokens for each participant.

Important: Don’t forget to enable two-factor authentication for your wallet security!

Step 3: How do I participate in the token sale?

The participation process is as follows:

Important: Do not send funds to any other domains, or addresses received by email or Slack messages. The only way to access your personal participation address is by logging in to the fundraiser dashboard at our official domain: https://fundraiser.bitclave.com. Please remember to double check the domain (and its certificate) before you proceed.
