BitClave, a leader in data security and privacy, launched a simple, secure, peer-to-peer donation matching service to help people recently experienced hardships such as the Camp Fire in CA, severe snowstorms in North and South Carolina: https://refugeedonor.com/

When a disaster strikes, whether it’s a fire, flood, snowstorm, or hurricane, losing homes and personal belongings that have monetary or sentimental values is unimaginably painful for anyone. While many charity organizations and community centers try to help, but it is unclear what and how much refugees actually need to just get through the next day or week. And in many cases, refugees are immobilized due to the unpredictable disaster condition or loss of moving vehicles. Wouldn’t it be nice that donations from good-hearted people can be directly sent to refugee families based on their actual needs?

We extend a helping hand to match refugee requests with donations at no cost while protecting the privacy of refugees and donors.

Currently, all donations are personal care items that can be safely mailed to the designated mailing addresses submitted by refugees from the Camp Fire, the deadliest and most destructive wildfire in California history to date and people who are immobilized due to heavy snowstorms in North Carolina and South Carolina.
