Welcome to Bitlayer network. Next, we will present a nanny-level tutorial for everyone~

Because Bitlayer is a Layer2 solution for BTC, it only supports BTC wallets. Currently, Bitlayer collaborates with BTC wallets such as OKX, Bitget, and Unisat. In this article, we will use Unisat Wallet as an example.

If you haven’t created a Unisat Wallet yet, you can refer to the Unisat Wallet creation tutorial here: Unisat Wallet Creation Tutorial

It’s important to note that since Bitlayer is an EVM chain-supported BTC Layer2 public chain, after connecting the BTC wallet , you also need to connect a wallet that supports the EVM chain (MetaMask / OKX Wallet / Bitget Wallet / Tokenpocket / WalletConnect). If you don’t have MetaMask / OKX Wallet / Bitget Wallet/ Tokenpocket / WalletConnect, you need to create one, the creation process is similar to OKX Wallet and we won’t go into details here.

So, before crossing the chain, what you need to prepare is: 【BTC】、【Unisat Wallet / MetaMask / OKX Wallet / Bitget Wallet / Tokenpocket / WalletConnect】

1、Open the Bitlayer official website: bitlayer.org, and click on [Bridge&Earn].

2、Click on [Connect Wallet] to connect your wallet.

3、Click on [Unisat Wallet].

4、After connecting your wallet, enter the amount of BTC you want to cross into Bitlayer. Here, please make sure to check if your BTC balance meets the following requirements: (1) Please note that the minimum amount set by Bitlayer for crossing is currently 0.0005 BTC. (2) The reserved cross-chain fee (cross-chain fee is 0.00015 BTC), meaning that (Balance) minus (Amount) should be greater than or equal to 0.00015.

5、Then click [Connect Wallet]. Choose one from MetaMask / OKX Wallet / Bitget Wallet / Tokenpocket / WalletConnect.

6、Here, I chose MetaMask, the process is similar for other wallets. Click [Next] and then [Connect] after.

7、If it shows as below, it means the wallet connection was successful.

8、Finally, click on [Transfer], and the Unisat Wallet extension will pop up. Click [sign] to sign.

9、After signing, your bill will pop up. “Pending” indicates that this cross-chain transaction is still being processed on the blockchain. The duration of this process depends on the congestion level of the blockchain. When “Completed” appears, it means that you have successfully completed the cross-chain transaction. The arrow points to your BTC address on Bitlayer. (Note: The transfer amount here is 0.00011 BTC for testing purposes only and should not be considered as a reference. The actual minimum cross-chain amount for Bitlayer is 0.0005 BTC.)

10、Finally, the process may seem a bit cumbersome, but congratulations, you have successfully mastered another wealth code!

In addition, currently, the Bitlayer official cross-chain bridge only supports BTC cross-chain, and when crossing, please make sure to recognize the unique domain name of Bitlayer — bitlayer.org, to guard against fraudulent activities!
