An Update to the KNC Miner Giveaway

Changing the KNC Miner giveaway to MiningGear giveaway.

The New Giveaway

Ever since the KNC Miner giveaway started a lot has happened with both BlackCoin, BlackCoinPool and even KnC Miner. It seems as if KnC has become the less favourable choice in the mining arena and we’d like to change the current promotion up a little.

First off, the price amount will stay the same: $10,000 in mining gear. However, we will be changing the actual prizes that the miners will be able to win.

Secondly, the time to get tickets will be extended with one Month, effectively ending the promotion on the 1st of August. This will give everyone enough time to reach the 15 required days.

Changes in the Hash Rate Requirements

Originally it was 10GH/s for 15 days, this is going to change a little, including the 5GH/s promo we have promised before, the new requirements are:

• 5 Days of 5 GH/s* required. — Done!
• 5 Days of 7.5 GH/s* required.
• 5 Days of 10 GH/s* required.

These will be in order, so, first we need to hit 5 days of 5GH/s, then 5 days of 7.5GH/s and lastly 5 days of 10GH/s. If the pool get’s 10GH/s directly it will not take away from the 10GH/s days, it will first go through the 5 GH/s days, then the 7.5 GH/s and then the 10 GH/s.

After the initial 15 days the requirement will stay at 10GH/s or more.

Now, for every 5 GH/s ABOVE the 10GH/s requirement after 15 days we’ll double the amount of tickets for that day. This means that if the pool hits 15GH/s after the initial 15 days and you normally get 3 tickets you’ll now get 6 tickets, if the pool hits 20GH/s you’ll get 12 tickets, and so on.

Ticket Rewards Breakdown

The amount of tickets you will receive is based on your normalized hash rate. The normalization to Scrypt-equivalent will be calculated as follows:

X11 / 3 = Scrypt.
Scrypt-N x 2 = Scrypt.
SHA-256: 8.5 GH/s = 100 KH/s Scrypt.
For Scrypt:
250 KH/s — 5 MH/s = 1 Ticket
5 MH/s — 10 MH/s = 2 Tickets
10 MH/s and above = 3 Tickets

The New Prizes

THESE WILL CHANGE BY THE END OF THE PROMO, BUT AN EXAMPLE TEMPLATE IS THE FOLLOWING:

• First Prize: The WarMachine 52 MH/s — Value: $5900
• Second & Third Prize: The Black Widow 13 MH/s — Value: $1800

And then there’s 4x The Fury 1MH/s Scrypt Asic that are worth $150 each.

All these prizes will change over time as new ASICs hit the market. We want to make sure that as soon as August get’s close you’ll get the best deal for the money that we offer on this.
