HOW TO CAPTURE WEALTH: THE 1 FUNDAMENTAL
Mindset comes before money — but most people believe it’s the other way around, and it’s not true.
Can you name one successful person who woke up with a successful mindset because they were suddenly rich? You have to have the right mindset before you can have wealth.
So how do you work on your mindset first? You have to practice with the mentality of, “I’m going to be rich.” and present yourself like you’re rich.
But this applies to more than just money — it applies to all areas of life — success, fame, achieving goals….
Take Madonna, for example. She once said in an interview (when she first began her career in New York City) that she would walk around Times Square, look people in the eye, and project at them: “You don’t know that I’m the most famous artist in the world.”
That’s what she would be thinking, and that’s the mindset you should have. So the mindset happened first for her, then came the success and everything else.
And there are countless other stories of successful people who thought about it first and strengthened their mindset first.
Warren Buffett said the same thing; he always knew he would be rich and never worried about being rich because he knew he would be rich.
I met a wealthy individual in 2014, when I literally had no money, I had maybe a hundred dollars to my name when I met this person, and we became friends.
Several years later, he heard about my story and how I was completely broke at the time. And he called me, and said, “Hey, I didn’t know that you were that broke… I thought you were rich.”
It was because I carried myself as if I was a rich person.
Now, mindset doesn’t mean doing stupid things like buying a bunch of stuff that you can’t afford and racking up debt. It’s about mentality and projecting that you ARE successful and are rich.
It’s a state of mind. It’s a vibe you put off. Even when you have $5 in your pocket, you need to continue to feel rich. Don’t ever feel not rich.
If you have ambition and are working hard, being broke won’t last forever. All you need to do is gain traction in whatever you’re doing and it will eventually pay dividends.
So, mindset first, and everything else will follow after that.
And again — that doesn’t mean you go and start buying things you can’t afford, to keep up with the image of being that person before you’re actually there. That’s a recipe for disaster.
Mindset is the first essential ingredient to creating wealth. It all starts with your mindset, and then taking massive action towards achieving your goals.
It should be noted that whatever you are aiming to be, you have to be able to back it up. Like Madonna — she had the goods and could deliver… She could sing.
She could perform and had the presence, to back up her mindset.
But if you can’t sing, and say you are going to be the most successful singer in the world, the odds are stacked against you. So have ambitions and dream big, but make sure you can back it up.
If I said to myself, “I’m going to be the most successful basketball player on the planet,” that’s never going to happen.
It’s about knowing your own abilities and really taking stock of them: What is really your ability? What is it that you really know how to do?
And when you know you have the ability to do something, then it’s your job to pursue that.
Everybody has their own talents, and you have to figure out what those are for you, so you know how to expand on them.
All you need to do is start with the mentality of, “I’m going to have whatever I want.” and honestly believe it.
Start here, and you’ll start making it come true.
