There is already an incomplete article discussing the costs of Kotlin Android extensions. I don’t want to write a long topic about them. The only thing to know is that you should probably not use it because the current implementation is unpredictable and inefficient (even when the views are properly cached, they are cached in a HashMap where a SparseArray would have been more appropriate) and there is already a much better solution out there called the Data Binding Library.
