Virtually everything the NSA was revealed to be doing was completely “constitutional.” Perhaps you disagreed with it, perhaps not, and perhaps SCOTUS will eventually decide to weigh in too; but they acted within existing legal guidelines.

And no, this would not give the U.S. government access to every iPhone in the world. It is far, far smaller in scope than that.
