Er, so in summary Apple are a fashion and not a technology company? I think most of the AirPod sceptic already understand that, and it doesn’t counter many of the criticisms of the technology.

“The thing is, we’ve had wireless headsets for a while, but they’ve always made people (mostly men) look like dickwads”. Personally I think the new AirPods look equally odd: somehow incomplete, especially when you have to wear them at the prescribed angle to get the mic pointing in the right direction. Time will tell, I guess.
