Strengths
Trey is a shifty receiver. He is good in tight areas, and separates more on the crispness of his routes rather than speed. He is a good, tough route runner. He has good hands, and was a focal point of the offense this last year. He was heavily involved in the screen game as a blocker.
Weaknesses
If covered tightly Quinn can not separate with speed. Once he gets off the line, doesn’t find a second gear. He is an average athlete, who doesn’t have home run explosion.
Big Picture
Quinn is a natural in the slot. While he doesnt have speed to seperate or take the top off of a defense, he can win with sharp, crisp routes. He was an extremely active prep receiver, who had one really productive year with SMU. He is a willing blocker, and has the frame to hold up across the middle. Quinn also has value as a return man. He will more than likely wait until Day 3 to hear his name called, but in the pass happy NFL there will be a place for him.
