The Iguana Solution for Bitcoin
For the last few months, developer JL777, has been working on code known as Iguana. The Iguana code basically optimizes scaling of blockchain memory usage and syncing times, allowing for a client with much faster syncing times and greatly reduced memory usage. This would also allow for increases in accessibility and usage rates since it would be possible to run the client with lower end hardware. Upon completion, the Iguana client’s efficiency along with easy to install procedures should make it a preferable choice for any Bitcoin client user and assist in the widespread adoption of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
The Iguana client will also come with several other features:
- Store select other alternate cryptocurrencies
- Access to the decentralized NXT asset exchange
- Access to a decentralized exchange
- Access to the Pegged Asset Exchange (PAX)
- Access to a decentralized poker service
- Anonymous transactions
Detailed information and progress regarding Iguana can be found here and here.
