Awesome analogy! In general I think backwards compatibility is important, at least for some time (transition fase) while hardware becomes cheaper.

few questions:

  1. All miners of course use a big box. As a user to be able to verify signatures, which computer (in terms od memory, HD space) do i need for blocks of 1MB, 2MB and 8MB?
  2. Segwit does way more than just this right? LN etc?
  3. If Bcash has bigger blocks, why is there still the risk of segwit@2x? could they not just activate segwit on Bcash for that?
