Empty Container Repositioning as a Service

The most critical component in the GSCP Platform is the predictive algorithm for repositioning empty containers which is why it is important to ensure that this algorithm is world-class.

This world-class algorithm will be offered as a service, which means that container carriers can use this algorithm for optimising their internal flow even if their containers are not part of the GSCP platform’s shared pool of containers.

Blockshipping will make it easy to add/remove containers from the shared pool on the platform. This allows container carriers to decide that e.g. in some region of the world or for specific customers they only want their own branded containers whereas for other regions/customers they want to use the most optimal container repositioning from the GSCP container pool irrespective of the brand on the container. But in all cases, carriers can use the GSCP repositioning algorithm as a service.

To ensure a consistent flow, it is also possible for a carrier to book and use their own containers using the platform, in which case the carrier basically makes a smart contract rental agreement with itself, instead of with the container owner who has provided containers to the shared pool.
