LOW CARB TURKEY BURGERS WITH A KICK
Posted on August 23, 2016

So, last week I dropped my iPhone 6 Plus (for the millionth time) and it finally broke. I was not only bummed out that my food pictures weren’t going to be as good, but also because I had to revert back to the iPhone 5! Just thought that I should explain why these pictures weren’t better. Now for the tasty part…
This Low Carb Turkey Burger is THE BEST! I love it because it’s healthy and still tastes delicious. I am back on my low carb diet, after taking a mini hiatus from it while I was on Vacation in California. If you’re craving a burger, this is the best alternative. Seriously.
I bought some lean Turkey Meat from the store and mixed it in a bowl with diced Onion, Cayenne Pepper and Chili. The cayenne and chili are what gives this Turkey Burger its “Kick”. Don’t worry, it’s not spicy, more tangy than anything!

I added some mixed mexican cheese to the patties but this is optional. Take the turkey meat mix from the bowl and mold and flatten them into patties. Then, preheat the skillet.

I chose to caramelize more onions in a different skillet because i’m an onion lover. I also threw a few mushrooms in their as well! But again, this is completely optional and depends on what you like as a topping.

After the burgers were done, I placed the patties on a sheet of lettuce (from a lettuce head), and added my toppings. Be careful when wrapping because the lettuce is very delicate, I suggest using a toothpick to hold everything together!
