Not only does the furniture need to be updated with modern appeal, it also must include technological upgrades. Renters want to be “plugged in” wherever they are and the furniture must allow for this accessibility. According to Seyler, 84 percent of Millennials will not hesitate to break their lease in favor of an upgrade.

Therefore, this turn furniture inspection is an important start to the process. Get your tenants involved by reaching out to them on social media. Ask for their opinions on what they would like to see and the updates that are critical to them. Most importantly, take this time to ensure you are ready to place your order this summer so the renovations are ready for the fall semester.
