God, this was a depressing read. I’m not entirely certain that either of them actually like Gilmore Girls. Maybe it is about how much we over-scrutinize TV nowadays. Gilmore Girls was never meant to set some HBO bar. Hell, it started on a network whose name doesn’t exist anymore and of which most teenage girls who still watch the channel wouldn’t recognize. It was witty, it was fun, and it wouldn’t have worked with different actors. It’s not a program designed for the microscopes we use for shows like Game of Thrones or Penny Dreadful. Gilmore Girls is a show to either enjoy or not enjoy.
