His point, however, about the size of the salary cap is spot on. We don’t have any NFL team that is struggling financially, and the cap is artificially low. The NBA has figured this out over several work stoppages in the last few decades, and now everyone is fat and happy. He’s also correct that NFL players have no bargaining power due to the short careers due to all the other problems (this is all connected). A cap is good in this line of work, but this particular cap is entirely helping owners.
