Bonnie Raitt laughs when she hears she won the Grammy for 2023 Song of the Year. “I am so deeply touched. “Thank you so much,” she told the crowd. All of Bonnie Raitt’s wins at the 65th Grammy Awards were a surprise to everyone, except her. On February 5, the 73-year-old won one of the night’s biggest prizes: song of the year for “Just Like That,” a song from her 18th record.

Rock music and rhythm and blues with political themes influenced singer and guitarist Bonnie Raitt for twenty years before she became a success. She worked on perfecting her style of crossover music. Raitt’s record company dropped her because of bad sales before her big hit album, Nick of Time, came out in 1989.
