Whether you’re a villain or a hero of your story, learning these techniques gives you the upper hand in getting the things you want.

Imagine convincing mom to take medicines on time or snagging the last slice of pizza with ease. These manipulation techniques can benefit the bad, good, and the slightly mischievous.

Gaslighting

Here, you make someone doubt their own sense of reality, memory, and sanity by holding information and deploying confusing lies.

You undermine the victim's confidence in their own judgment and shift the blame on another person while at the same time denying your side of the story and blaming them for lying.

Guilt Tripping

When you make someone feel bad about themselves, their decisions, actions, or lack of actions in a particular situation.

You make them feel guilty for all the loss. Later, you provide a helping hand, making them always oblige you.

Isolation

When you cut off someone from their loved ones like friends and family, to remove all the support.

You allow none to talk with them and interfere with your plans. You undermine their good relationship with their loved ones and turn them against their supporters, saying they are not good for their well-being.

You make them depend on you, mad for you, seek your support or approval, and instill fear that they can’t survive without you.

Love Bombing

When you shower someone with attention, praise, and affection, make them falsely believe they are loved using gifts, excessive compliments, and frequent talks about an extravagant future together.

You make them feel they are the most important in your life, but you only show false positivity to gain power and control over them.

You make them attached to your love and take it away in a moment, causing them to crave it badly and be more willing to your request.

Emotional Blackmail

When you use threats, guilt, or other emotional manipulation to control the victim. You stop giving affection to them, and as a result, they’ll do anything for you.

You make false promises and commitments to lure them but never to fulfill them.

Conclusion

With these, you can manipulate anyone.

But staying honest and truthful to a person gets your work done most of the time.

But if you don’t, then learning these is the start of your villain arc.
