The Law of Attraction

“The law of attraction is the name given to the term that “like attracts like” and that by focusing on positive or negative thoughts, one can bring about positive or negative results. This belief is based upon the idea that people and their thoughts are both made from “pure energy”, and the belief that like energy attracts like energy.” ~ Wikipedia

I believe this to be so true.

Have you ever thought about something, put all your energy into thinking about it, spent every waking hour thinking about that same thing and pouf, it happens –your belief, your thoughts attracted that ‘something’.

Whether it’s wonderful, or not so great, your focus made it happen.

I always believe in putting my energy into positive thoughts; seeing, believing, focusing on and envisioning happy and wonderful things. Although this may not always be easy to do because as a woman my mind is filled with so many other thoughts — ideas, to do lists, work related tasks — personally I find what works best for me is first thing in the morning. When I wake up and climb out of bed, I focus on five happy things (happy thoughts) in my life right now followed by envisioning 3–5-positive results I want to occur, to see happen in my life. It’s important to remember “nothing happens overnight”, but eventually all the positive energy that I have put into my thoughts brings about positive results “like attracts like”.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention, when you think about all those happy things in your life right now and/or what you envision happening, you need to feel the emotions associated with these wonderful thoughts — those feel good endorphins (feelings inside your heart and body), the happy goose bumps and smiles associated with your happiness and gratitude.

And although you may find it easier to focus on the negative in your life rather than focusing on the positive, here is a tip to help make this transition a lot easier for you.

When you wake up and open your eyes tomorrow morning and before you get out of bed, I want you to think about three wonderful things in your life. It doesn’t need to be complicated; be thankful for your family; you are loved or have someone to love; you have a roof over your head; you are able to put food on the table; you have some wonderful friends in your life (these are some ideas to help guide you). When you think about these three things, really feel the emotions associated with them, allow yourself to smile. Now envision one thing you really want to see happy in your life (yes, your life, not some else’s — this is about you). Feel the positive endorphins, the positive thoughts associated with the end result. Do not let your focus shift to your ‘to do list’, maintain your ‘want to see happen’ thoughts.

Congratulations, you’ve done it!

Continue with this tip for the next 14–30 days. Once you feel confident and have never skipped a day with this positive thought process, only then add in another (positive) thought and vision. Before you know it this will become a ritual that you automatically do, like brushing your teeth and putting on your underwear — you wouldn’t leave your home without doing these things (or maybe you like going ‘commando’). ©

Good Luck and may positive things come your way and continue to be in your life.

I’d love to know your thoughts on this topic and if you believe in ‘The Law of Attraction”.
