In which once you’ve seen it, you’re cursed forever

My previous story inspired quite a lot of discussion amongst my friends about the improper use of tools in tv, film and stock photography. For example That’s Not How You Pipette and Safe Soldering for Beginners. Which in turn reminded me of the coffee cup thing, where I’m glad to know I’m not the only one it really irritates. Now Slate’s done a video about it, produced by an actual lecturer in communications. Perhaps it would be inconvenient to use liquid in the cups, but surely the cups could be weighted? Or sealed? Enquiring minds want to know. I don’t suppose any props departments read this, but if you are, please sort this out.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?
