On the 24th of September, we had the very first edition of our ‘Silent Book Party’ in Cafe Neo. For those who don’t know what a silent book party is, it is basically a ‘party’ where you come to read that book that you have been too busy to read, and have discussions and refreshments afterwards. The first edition was super fun, the turnout was great and there were really interesting people present. They had fun reading their books, catching up on book gist while sipping coffee or fruit juice. Someone won a book, and there were a lot of amazing books that were bartered. Each book found a new happy owner!

People were so excited about their loot!

A guest at the party also featured us on her blog, and wrote a really nice article. You can read it here.

If you missed the last one, don’t be too sad. There’s another on coming up on the 22nd of October.

Venue is Litcaf, 1st floor, E- centre, Yaba and the event starts by 2pm. There is an entry fee of 1,000, and there will be free yummy refreshments available. You shouldn’t miss another opportunity to read, have dope discussions, and trade books. You can RSVP here.

We would be giving out a free ticket to one lucky winner. All you have to do is RSVP, and follow us on Twitter and Instagram. We would also be giving out a surprise gift at the event. You absolutely should not miss this for anything. Even Jollof rice at an owambe.

Remember to bring books to barter.

Bring as many books as you can and bring your friends along too. Come have a good time with us, we promise that it will be fun. See you there!
