We still use them fairly frequently actually, but I also choose to use them sometimes even when not strictly necessary. I use them to pay one time bills, dues for my organization, and state/local taxes. So, mostly in situations where there would be a charge passed on to me to get a cashier’s check or using the credit swipe for my chorus. I probably use a book of checks every six months or so, and we’re actually thinking about reordering soon.
