If inanimate objects aren’t responsible, then we should have no issue with North Korea’s nuclear program, and profusely appologise for invading Iraq on the mere suspicion of owning WMD.

As a society, we agree possession of some things to be against what is acceptable to posses - weapons of mass destruction, slaves, pornography involving minors or torture. It is about time firearms were added to this list.
