According to the reports out of London, a Muslim mosque had distributed leaflets stating that whoever insults ‘Islam’ must be killed right at the spot. Now, the news has it, that the Metropolitan Police has started a hate-crime investigation.
A Holy gathering had been called at the Dar-ul-Uloom Qadria Jilania mosque in Walthamstow, this is where the literature was distributed. It was found to be stating that the religious traitors “deserve to be assassinated”.
The London Evening has reported that the leaflet carried the name of Imam Syed Abdul Qadir Jilani, on the front. He is being associated with the instigation of hate-speech, however, the Imam has strictly denied such accusations and has said that he never allowed anyone to use his face to represent any sort of material.
He said: “I am not aware of if, why or how, the booklet was distributed in Dar-ul-Uloom Qadria Jilania.”
The booklet also portrays the case of Mumtaz Qadri, who was hanged for the murder of Salman Taseer, as a landmark example of practicing Islamic laws. It states that each and every Muslim should support late Qadri, and even if someone is big and mighty he still deserves to be killed; if he goes against the religion.
A worshipper who was present at the mosque during the time of leaflet distribution, stated:
“Two or three people delivered the leaflet. I am shocked. I think it gives a bad impression. Islam teaches when you live here you obey the law and the rule of law, but this is not doing that.”
