Re-Discovering Self

I want to start my story with an amazing poem from Rudyard Kipling.

If you can keep your head when all about you

Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,

If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,

But make allowance for their doubting too;

If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,

Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,

Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,

And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream — and not make dreams your master;

If you can think — and not make thoughts your aim;

If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster

And treat those two impostors just the same;

If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken

Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,

Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,

And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings

And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,

And lose, and start again at your beginnings

And never breathe a word about your loss;

If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew

To serve your turn long after they are gone,

And so hold on when there is nothing in you

Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,

Or walk with Kings — nor lose the common touch,

If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,

If all men count with you, but none too much;

If you can fill the unforgiving minute

With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,

Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,

And — which is more — you’ll be a Man, my son!

I am an entrepreneur I have done multiple companies some of the successful some of them not.Last one was disaster.It put me into nervous breakdown.At start it was the best opportunity of my life but at the end it was a disaster from financial perspective but amazing opportunity to learn.

One of the biggest lessons I learned during this venture which was fundamental was to keep focus on yourself.

As an entrepreneur you are going to have many stakeholders starting from investors to employees to managing your personal life.Everyone was going to push yourself to their direction and some times you get burned out because it is a hard energy consuming work.Once you get burned out RUN AWAY from everyone.Have some rest then go back to society.

Sadly i haven't done it this time.Because I wishing so much to make this venture successful.

I was so obsessed with an idea of making this thing successful and I knew that the only way to do so was Persistence.So I did it.I end up having product which was making some amount of money but I was hating that product.

So i understood this time that life is not only about startups and being successful.Everything is counter-connected and you should try to live a harmonic life.

Fear of failure was created obsession to success which eventually crashed me down.

When I lost myself I started to read — thinking that the answer of my situation is in books ,I read a lot — starting from Philosophy to Religions and eventually I noticed that I am not living fully life I just read books and think that I live it.

The only thing which helped me a lot was slowing down.And I feel really ok now.

Be yourself guys have your value system — internal compass re-discover yourself and you will be amazed how good you are.

And at the end this amazing video from Vinod Khosla
