“Breaks” On Holiday Weekends Are For Average Individuals

I want to keep this short and simple by crunching a few numbers. Many people are celebrating a 3-day weekend as they get an extra day for relaxing, partying, and taking a “break.”

The average lifespan of a human is 79. If you dedicate every labor day weekend to productivity for the next 50 years that equates to 3600 hours of productivity gains. Just ONE holiday weekend hypothetically can get you 36% closer to the 10,000 hours of mastering your desired skill. Do you want to be great or do you want to be average?
