My view is that we need systems that *make a difference*. This dovetails with the second point (sustainability).

I’d also advocate for even greater emphasis on systems work. It is incredibly time-consuming and it’s also important, so adjusting incentive structures is key. From my own experience, I’d say the average systems paper takes about 3x as long as the average non-systems paper.
