Giants Add Logan Thomas
Having amassed more than 18 years of experience in the financial industry, Brent Potter of Wyckoff, New Jersey, serves as the vice president of vulnerability management at Morgan Stanley in New York City. Outside his professional life, Brent Potter of Wyckoff pursues a range of hobbies that includes following the New York Giants.
The New York Giants have added another quarterback to the roster, claiming well-traveled Logan Thomas off the waiver wire and parting ways with B.J. Daniels. Thomas was recently waived by the Dolphins after spending a year on the team’s practice squad. Before that, he spent his rookie campaign with Bruce Arians and the Arizona Cardinals. He has only completed one pass thus far in his short career, an 81-yard touchdown strike.
The third-year man out of Virginia Tech will likely be third on the depth chart behind Eli Manning and Ryan Nassib. Thomas has a chance to develop if the Giants elect to keep three quarterbacks, as Nassib is in the final year of his contract. Thomas boasts a big arm and plenty of physical upside, but analysts agree that his mechanics and understanding of the position at the pro level are in need of serious development.
