Great post Benjamin Foley. I’ve journaled on and off for a long time and really love Morning Pages. I can see why others aren’t a fan due to the time, but I find that I can bang out 3 pages in about 20 minutes.

The reason I like Morning Pages is they are simple to execut e. Just write 3 pages and don’t stop writing until you’re done.

This style is less focused on gratitude and affirmations, bit it has had a profound impact on controlling my anxiety as well. I think any writing is theropudic if done regularly and you know no one else will read it.
