This is definitely the case. It takes a long time in New York to find friends who are cool with not drinking or lightly drinking, but in the end those friendships are way better, and those people are way more interesting and have their shit way more together. My life is full of them, so I’m intellectually/socially stimulated even outside of work. Good luck!
