Born in Washington, D.C., in 1988, Kevin Durant attended the University of Texas and was drafted by the Seattle Supersonics in the first round of the 2007 NBA Draft. Durant stayed with the organization when it moved to Oklahoma City and became the Oklahoma City Thunder, and he went on to play eight seasons with the team. Over the course of his career with Seattle and OKC, the 6-foot-9, 240-pound small forward averaged 27.4 points, 7 rebounds, and 3.7 assists in 641 games.
In one of the biggest moves of the 2016 offseason, Durant, a seven-time NBA All-Star and seven-time All-NBA selection, left the Thunder to join the Golden State Warriors. As a member of the Warriors starting lineup, Durant looks to maintain his stellar numbers and bring the Larry O’Brien NBA Championship Trophy back to Golden State.
