A Day in the Life at Brillio
Tell us about yourself? About your background? Education?
I am the company secretary and corporate lawyer with nearly a decade of professional experience. I completed my schooling in Mumbai where I studied and graduated from Symbiosis College of Law, Pune. Presently, I am pursuing a degree in IPR Laws.
What do you do at Brillio?
I am responsible for the Corporate Secretarial, Compliance and Legal framework for Brillio’s office in India.
What keeps me interested at Brillio? What one thing do you like most about working here?
At Brillio, I have had exposure to a variety of assignments in different geographies, be it the Trivandrum Merger, US LLC spin-off and the much recent Marketelligent acquisition. Every day has brought new learning experiences and opportunities for growth. There is a sense of belonging with one’s work.
I have had the opportunity to work closely with the finance team, and this work has helped to widen my work horizon.
Every day in every group, there is a lot of work to accomplish here at Brillio.
What does your typical day at Brillio look like? What makes it a great workday?
Each day is different and anything pending at the end of the previous day takes priority in the next morning. Other unforeseeable tasks that pop up throughout the day are added to the list of priorities.
A great day is when I contribute outside my usual realm of work and my efforts are appreciated.
What do you think will motivate you to work the most?
I am motivated not only by a challenging work environment, but also, by having ownership and responsibility for my work and having the opportunity to work with an amazing, supportive team.
What is it about your colleagues at Brillio that you like?
Even after a disagreement, we enjoy a cup of coffee together! All are very supportive and do not hesitate to share their knowledge (sometimes in the face of adverse circumstances). This has promptly ironed out the bottlenecks.
What makes you feel like a valuable contributor?
I have had the opportunity to work on diverse projects while simultaneously observing stringent timelines. I, like many of my colleagues, am able to accomplish this because of the ownership, responsibility are trust bestowed by management, which makes me a valuable contributor.
