To All You Nasty Women,

Do you really understand what you stand for?
Do you really understand the language you preach and the actions you teach?

Your attempt to take power back from Trump,
Your attempt to gain respect from men,
Your attempt to lift each other up in strength
As you march the streets with ‘Nasty’ tattooed all over your clothes.

Do you really understand what you stand for? Let me help.

nas·ty ‘naste/Submit
adjective
1. highly unpleasant, especially to the senses; physically nauseating.
2. (of a person or animal) behaving in an unpleasant or spiteful way.

How negative and demeaning is that word you wear on your heart?
That’s what you stand for? Really?

Your approach is all wrong.
It is not from God.
If not from God, then from who?
God does not create ‘Nasty’ women.
God creates strong, beautiful, intelligent women with self respect and dignity.
If not from God, then who? Ask yourself.

The next time you want to protest our President or stand up for women’s rights or for goodness sake, demand respect be given to YOU, be smart. Consider this, ‘Beautiful’, ‘Smart’, ‘Strong’, ‘Elegant’. Take your pick. Just not ‘Nasty’. C’mon ladies, you’re better than that.

Lean not on your own understanding,

xo, Britt
